The following pages contain samples of actual solutions to the CalmPlexTM series of puzzles which include the CalmPlex MindBlockTM cube and checkerboard, the PyrPlexTM pyramid, the OrbSticleTM sphere, the CyliPlexTM cylinder, the ConeFusionTM cone, and the EllipToyTM football.

For the CalmPlex MindBlockTM cube and checkerboard puzzle I chose solution samples that reflect the usage of other shapes to show the ease of solving. Of course you could make it very complex by solving some of these shapes without this feature.

If you really want a puzzle challenge then cover that part of your screen with paper to avoid seeing the solved shape and just read the clues and hints.

The names were coined around the shape or feature of the puzzle.

The CalmPlex MindBlockTM cube and checkerboard puzzle of course has some very complex and often near impossible shapes to solve. But it can be very calming to once again play with blocks as we did as kids - remember the alphabet blocks?

The PyrPlexTM can be perplexing to some because of the spatial rotations.

The OrbSticleTM has those has little wedges that can be a frustrating obstacle.

The CyliPlexTM was a silly idea at the time but evolved when I was building jigs for the sphere shape.

The ConeFusionTM was a confusing puzzle to design because it seemed apparent where each piece would fit. It took me quite a long time to make it into a puzzle.

The EllipToyTM was named after the basic shape - an ellipsoid. Again, by the shape each piece has an apparent place so the challenge was to create a puzzle to get around this simplicity.

With the release of these solutions it should be noted that in no way have the various CalmPlexTM puzzles or solutions been released to the public domain.

I have posted them on my site to aid my customers with hints and, with these basic solutions, to challenge them further.
